Trainee Repair Technician
Trainee Repair Technician – Spider is advertising on behalf of a market leader in surface repair and restoration, who has an exciting opportunity for a motivated experienced or trainee Technicians to join their busy team in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk working across the Cambridge and Ipswich corridor.
This full-time, permanent role offers exceptional training and career development. You’ll learn to work with leading housebuilders and commercial clients, repairing and restoring a wide variety of damaged surfaces – from baths to bricks, worktops to window frames – using specialist resurfacing and restoration techniques.

Competitive Salary:£25,376 per annum, rising to £27,000 upon completion of training and probation.

About the role:
As a Trainee Repair Technician, you’ll receive hands-on, specialist training in repairing and refinishing materials such as stone, brick, marble, metal, ceramic, plastic, and enamel. You’ll develop high-quality resurfacing and restoration skills that allow you to bring damaged surfaces back to life and take pride in producing excellent results for each client. Hours are onsite Monday – Friday, 8am – 4pm plus travelling time. Some weekend work might be required but this is paid overtime.
About you:
As a Trainee Repair Technician, you’ll be practical, good with your hands, and eager to learn new skills. A positive, self-motivated attitude, strong attention to detail, and a good eye for colour are essential. You’ll enjoy varied, hands-on work and be committed to completing your NVQ Level 2 qualification. Due to fleet insurance requirements, candidates must be over 25 years old and hold a clean driving licence.
