Site Manager – Education Project (Suffolk)

Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 per annum
Location: Suffolk
Contract: Permanent | 32-Month Project Duration

Our client, one of the UK’s largest and most successful privately-owned construction and development groups, is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join their team on a major education project in Suffolk. With operations across the UK and an outstanding reputation for delivering quality projects safely, on time, and to budget, this is an excellent opportunity to join a business with strong values and a proven track record in the sector.

The Role

As Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring the project is delivered in line with programme, quality standards, and health & safety requirements. This education project has a further 32 months remaining, offering the opportunity to see it through to successful completion.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate all on-site activities to ensure timely project delivery

*

Lead site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity

*

Monitor progress against the construction programme and address any issues proactively

*

Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and statutory regulations

*

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and the wider project team

*

Ensure high standards of health, safety, and environmental management are upheld

About You

*

Proven experience as a Site Manager on large-scale construction projects (preferably within the education sector)

*

Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills

*

Solid understanding of construction processes, technical drawings, and project delivery

*

Excellent track record of managing health & safety on site

*

SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid at Work certifications essential
