Quantity Surveyor – Landmark City-Centre Projects

Location: Manchester

Salary: Up to £60,000 + Company Car or Car Allowance

A dynamic and growing regional main contractor is recruiting a motivated Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in Manchester. This company has a strong reputation for delivering a diverse range of high-profile build and fit-out projects.

The Role:

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the full range of quantity surveying duties on one or more projects. Your responsibilities will include:

Procurement and management of subcontractor packages.

Cost control, valuations, and CVR reporting.

Identifying, pricing, and agreeing on variations.

Managing monthly applications for payment and cash flow.

Negotiating and agreeing on final accounts.

About You:

We are looking for a commercially astute individual with a strong background in quantity surveying.

You will ideally have experience working for a general contractor on build or fit-out projects.

You must be a strong negotiator, an excellent communicator, and able to work effectively within a busy team.

A degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent) is preferred.

Opportunity for an Assistant QS:

This role also presents a significant "step-up" opportunity. Ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyors who are ready to take on more responsibility are strongly encouraged to apply. A background with a Tier 1 contractor would be highly advantageous for an Assistant-level applicant.
