Contracts Manager
About the Role
Our client, a well-established construction, contractor, is seeking an experienced Demolition Contracts Manager to oversee a portfolio of demolition and enabling works projects.
The successful candidate will take full responsibility for managing projects from tender through to completion ensuring safety, quality, and commercial targets are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

Manage multiple demolition and enabling works projects from start to finish.
*
Plan, coordinate, and oversee site activities to ensure safe and efficient project delivery.
*
Prepare and manage contract documentation, RAMS, programmes, and progress reports.
*
Liaise with clients, consultants, local authorities, and site teams to maintain smooth communication and project progression.
*
Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and CDM regulations.
*
Oversee procurement of plant, materials, and subcontractors.
*
Manage budgets, cost control, and project profitability.
*
Carry out site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits.
*
Support the tendering process, including reviewing estimates and providing technical input.
*
Lead and motivate site teams to achieve high standards of performance and quality.
Key Skills
*
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
*
In-depth understanding of demolition methods, sequencing, and legislation.
*
Excellent knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards.
*
Commercially aware with strong cost management ability.
*
Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software.
*
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Experience & Qualifications
*
Minimum 5–10 years’ experience in demolition or construction management.
*
Proven track record managing demolition and enabling works projects.
*
CCD (Certificate of Competence for Demolition Management) or equivalent certification preferred.
*
CSCS Black Card and SMSTS essential.
*
Asbestos Awareness and Temporary Works Coordinator qualifications desirable.
*
Full UK driving licence required.
Salary
£70,000 – £80,000 DOE
(Plus vehicle allowance and benefits package)
