Mechanical Construction Manager

Maxwell Consultancy are currently recruiting on behalf of a Tier One Main Contractor for a Mechanical Construction Manager to join their team in Central Scotland. This global business has multiple Projects within the Commercial, Healthcare, Education and Residential Sectors.

This is a terrific opportunity to join one of the UK’s leading Main Contractors on a permanent basis at a time when their portfolio is increasing rapidly.

The role:

* Supervise and manage the daily mechanical construction activities on the project.

* Plan, develop, and organise the mechanical construction process to create the most cost-effective plan, ensuring timely completion within budget, and oversee its execution.

* Responsible for executing the scope of work related to construction/fabrication and pre-commissioning in line with the approved project schedule.

* Monitor and report project details, including progress, risks, and opportunities, to the Project Manager promptly.

* Ensure all changes to specifications, work scope, and drawings are properly documented.

* Adhere to Safety, EHS, and Quality Standards in compliance with relevant policies and procedures.

* Manage site design and mechanical construction processes.

* Plan and allocate all resources, including labour, materials, and subcontractors.

* Lead and motivate the team to meet all project requirements and deadlines.

* Communicate clearly and effectively with all stakeholders.

What you should have:

You will need to have experience in a similar role within the construction industry. Other key skill and experience are:

* Possess a background in a relevant trade or engineering discipline.

* Have over 5 years of industry experience.

* Previous work with a Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) Contractor in Ireland or the UK, ideally on Industrial or Pharmaceutical projects, is preferred.

* Strong knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, including HVAC and building services design.

* Show proven ability to manage both people and programs.

* Exhibit clear communication skills with all stakeholders.
