About the Role
As Senior Project Quantity Surveyor, you’ll take commercial ownership of major construction and fit-out schemes, managing all financial and contractual aspects from inception through to final account. You’ll play a key role in ensuring profitability, cost certainty, and risk management, while supporting project teams to achieve outstanding results. Key responsibilities include:

Preparing and managing cost plans, budgets, and forecasts across all project stages

Leading procurement and subcontractor selection, including tender analysis and negotiation
*
Administering contracts and managing variations, valuations, and change control processes
*
Producing regular commercial reports and presenting financial updates to senior management
*
Identifying and mitigating commercial risks while maximising value opportunities
*
Supporting value engineering and constructability reviews to achieve design and cost alignment
*
Mentoring and developing junior QS and commercial team members

Requirements
*
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior QS within main contracting, covering new build, refurbishment, or fit-out schemes
*
Strong understanding of cost management, procurement, and commercial reporting on high-value projects
*
Solid knowledge of JCT contracts and variation/change control processes
*
Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills
*
Commercially astute with a proactive approach to cost control, risk management, and profitability
*
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with project and site teams
