The Company
Join a leading civil engineering and concrete frame contractor renowned for delivering complex groundwork and RC frame projects across the South East. With a strong pipeline of work and a focus on safety, precision, and technical excellence, they are seeking a Site Engineer to support upcoming projects in Reading and Watford.
The Role
As a Site Engineer, you’ll play a key part in setting out and delivering high-quality groundworks and reinforced concrete frame packages. You’ll work closely with site management, ensuring technical accuracy, QA compliance, and programme delivery on time.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain accurate, up-to-date construction drawings and registers.
* Complete site and level surveys prior to project start.
* Confidently take responsibility for setting out all elements and controlling line and level.
* Use Leica EDM equipment (TS06 / TS12 / TS16) to ensure precision setting out.
* Take off and order materials for groundworks and RC frames (drainage, waterproofing, concrete, rebar, cast-in items).
* Resolve setting out issues and raise/track RFIs as required.
* Implement site Inspection Test Plans and ensure QA compliance via FlowForma.
* Produce and maintain accurate as-built drawings and records for the QS and design team.
* Raise technical submittals and support the close-out of technical queries.
* Collaborate effectively with site teams, subcontractors, and other trades to support delivery.

Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Site Engineer within groundworks and/or RC frame projects.
* Proficiency in Leica total station equipment (TS06 / TS12 / TS16).
* CSCS card (Engineering/Surveying or equivalent).
* Strong CAD skills.
* Right to work in the UK.
* Full understanding of QA procedures and inspection test plans
