About the Company
Our client is a dynamic and well-established joinery contractor operating as both principal and subcontractor across high-end residential, commercial, and leisure developments. With a reputation for precision craftsmanship and collaborative delivery, they are now seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor with a strong joinery background to join their growing team. Projects typically range from £2–30m.
Role Overview
Working as part of the client’s commercial team, the Quantity Surveyor will play a pivotal role in managing project costs, contracts, and financial reporting across a diverse portfolio of joinery works. The role is split between the London office and project sites, ensuring commercial control and value engineering from pre-construction through to final account.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare and manage accurate cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions

Administer subcontractor and supplier packages, including procurement and valuations
*
Monitor project progress, variations, and cost control measures
*
Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure commercial alignment
*
Conduct site visits to assess progress and verify valuations
*
Prepare interim and final accounts, cash flow forecasts, and financial reports
*
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and commercial best practice
Requirements
*
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the joinery or specialist fit-out sector
*
Strong understanding of residential, commercial, and leisure sector projects
*
Ability to manage multiple projects and work both independently and collaboratively
*
Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills
*
Proficient in relevant QS software and reporting tools
*
Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
*
Full UK driving licence preferred
