Site Manager

Site Manager – Water / Heavy Civils
Location: Cheshire – Greater Manchester Area
Rate / Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent or Freelance

We are currently seeking an experienced Site Manager to join a leading civil engineering and infrastructure project in the Northern region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in water sector and heavy civils works, with proven experience delivering projects for or in partnership with a Water Authority. Direct delivery experience would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage all on-site operations, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to the required quality standards.

Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, site staff and suppliers.

*

Liaise closely with clients, project teams and local authorities.

*

Ensure all H&S, environmental and quality standards are maintained.

*

Oversee documentation, permits, RAMS and compliance processes.

Requirements:

*

Strong background in Water and Heavy Civils projects.

*

Previous experience working with a Water Authority.

*

Direct delivery experience (preferred).

*

Valid SMSTS and CSCS certifications.

*

Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
