JOB DETAILS:

Health, Safety & CDM Compliance

• Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations 2015, company policies, and statutory requirements.

• Conduct daily site inspections and enforce safe working practices.

• Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and method statement briefings.

• Maintain up-to-date RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements) documentation.

• Liaise with the Principal Designer, Principal Contractor, and HSE where necessary.

• Manage permit-to-work systems (hot works, confined spaces, etc.).

• Ensure welfare facilities and site security meet CDM standards.

• Investigate and report accidents, incidents, and near-misses.

Construction Management

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise all on-site construction activities.

• Oversee subcontractors, ensuring quality, safety, and schedule adherence.

• Manage site logistics, deliveries, and storage of materials.

• Ensure works are executed to approved drawings and specifications.

• Conduct site progress meetings and maintain accurate daily records.

• Monitor programme milestones and report progress to the Project Manager.

• Coordinate with design and M&E teams to resolve technical issues promptly.

Quality Assurance

• Implement and monitor quality control procedures.

• Carry out inspections to ensure workmanship meets required standards.

• Maintain QA documentation and ensure compliance with client and regulatory standards.

• Manage snagging and handover procedures efficiently.

Environmental & Sustainability Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with environmental management plans and site waste controls.

• Promote sustainable practices and materials use in line with project requirements.

• Prevent pollution and ensure safe disposal of waste and hazardous materials.

Stakeholder & Client Liaison

• Act as the site contact for clients, consultants, and end users (e.g., NHS Trust representatives, housing associations).

• Ensure works cause minimal disruption to live environments (occupied housing or medical facilities).

• Manage tenant liaison for social housing projects, ensuring communication of works and access.

• Attend and contribute to progress and coordination meetings with the client and design teams.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain site diaries, labour returns, delivery records, and progress photos.

• Report on programme, cost, quality, and H&S performance weekly.

• Ensure all statutory documentation (e.g., F10 notifications, inspection registers) is maintained.

• Support the handover process, ensuring completion of O&M manuals and as-built records
