Assistant Site Manager – Commercial Refurbishment | Yeovil, Somerset | Permanent Role

We’re working with a respected main contractor who are seeking an Assistant Site Manager to join their team on a commercial refurbishment project in Yeovil. This is a permanent position offering stability, career progression, and the opportunity to work on a high-profile scheme within a well-structured and supportive team.

The Role

As Assistant Site Manager, you’ll play a key part in helping deliver a fast-paced refurbishment project from start to finish. You’ll support the Site Manager with day-to-day operations, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule and to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities include:

Assisting in the coordination of subcontractors, materials and site logistics

*

Supporting health & safety management and maintaining compliance on site

*

Monitoring progress and quality of works

*

Helping manage site documentation and reporting

*

Liaising with the project team, suppliers, and stakeholders to keep everything running smoothly

What We’re Looking For

*

Previous experience in a site-based role within construction – ideally refurbishment, fit-out, or commercial build

*

Strong organisational and communication skills

*

A proactive, hands-on approach with good attention to detail

*

CSCS card required; SMSTS/SSSTS advantageous

*

Full UK driving licence
