Section Foreman Role Overview
As a Section Foreman, you will play a key role in leading and coordinating site operations within your allocated section of works. You will ensure all site activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with project plans and specifications.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supervising and coordinating a team of site operatives, subcontractors, and other personnel.
Ensuring work is completed to the required standards of safety, quality, and productivity.
Conducting daily briefings and toolbox talks to communicate work plans and safety updates.
Carrying out regular inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Managing resources effectively, including labour, materials, and plant.
Monitoring progress against programme targets and reporting any issues or delays.
Liaising with Site Engineers, Site Managers, and other stakeholders to maintain smooth site operations.
Ensuring all necessary paperwork, such as permits, timesheets, and inspection reports, is completed accurately and on time.
Promoting and maintaining a positive, safe, and efficient working environment.
Reporting incidents, near misses, and safety concerns promptly and appropriately.
Based in Stoke, remuneration for this role is £25.08 per hour PAYE. You will accrue holiday entitlement and be eligible to join the VGC pension scheme once certain criteria have been met.
