Architectural Technologist
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Architectural Technologist to join a busy and collaborative team, working across a variety of sectos and project stages. This position would be well suited to someone with around three years' experience in practice, looking to take on more responsibility while continuing to grow their technical expertise.
The Role:
This is a full-time position based in North Yorkshire with the option for flexible working. It offers the chance to become an integral part of a supportive team, contributing to the delivery of projects from concept through to completion. You will have the opportunity to develop your technical skills further, with a strong focus on building regulations knowledge and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Producing detailed technical drawings, specifications, and schedules in line with UK building regulations and industry standards
Developing and coordinating working drawing packages using both AutoCAD and Revit
Preparing and submitting building regulation applications, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements
Working closely with architects, contractors, and clients to resolve technical issues and provide practical design solutions
Coordinating information across disciplines, managing consultant drawings, and checking for accuracy and compliance
Assisting with tender documentation, technical reports, and project administration where required
Attending site visits and inspections, supporting the project team with on-site queries and construction progress
Ensuring drawings and models are delivered to a high level of accuracy and detail, supportung the delivery of projects from planning through to completion
Requirements:
Degree in Architectural Technology or equivalent qualification
Minimum of three years' experence within an architectural practice
Strong technical knowledge with the ability to apply UK building regulations confidently, alongside awareness of the Building Safety Act
Excellent proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
A track record of delivering high-quality drawing and detailing packages
Confident communicator with the ability to coordinate with consultants, contractors, and stakeholders
Flexible, proactive, and able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
