Project Quantity Surveyor | London & South East (Permanent or Freelance)

Join a progressive main contractor known for delivering complex, high-spec refurbishments and structural redevelopments across London.

This is a hands-on commercial role where you'll take ownership of live projects and work closely with delivery teams on technically demanding schemes from heavy cut & carve to façade retention and high-end office fit outs.

You'll be part of a tight-knit, design-focused contractor with a strong technical reputation and direct leadership from experienced commercial professionals.

The Role
• Take full commercial responsibility for live refurbishment and structural projects (£8m£30m value)
• Manage procurement, subcontractor accounts, and valuations from pre-construction through to final account
• Lead cost reporting, forecasting, and CVRs with oversight from the Commercial Manager
• Work closely with the Project Manager and Site Team to ensure delivery aligns with budgets and programmes
• Contribute to tendering and pre-con responsibilities as the business grows

What they're looking for
• Established Project or Senior Quantity Surveyor (not a recent graduate)
• Experience with Tier 2 or Tier 3 main contractors
• Proven track record on complex refurbishments and structural works e.g.:
Cut & carve and structural extensions
Residential or hotel fit outs
Façade retention
• Commercially astute, proactive, and confident managing your own projects
