Commercial Manager – Energy Sector

Aberdeen, Scotland | Full-time, Permanent

Our client, a leading engineering & construction contractor, is looking for a Commercial Manager to support key Energy projects in Aberdeenshire.

With a strong pipeline of work and continued investment in sustainable energy infrastructure, this is a fantastic opportunity to work at the forefront of the UK’s energy transition.

What You’ll Do

Manage all commercial aspects of projects & liaise with key stakeholders
Lead monthly cost and value reconciliation reviews
Handle contractual changes: variations, contractor claims, early warnings
Work with the Project Director to manage risk registers
Lead & mentor the commercial project team
Oversee procurement to deliver commercially advantageous outcomes
Maximise cash position via WIP control & cash flow improvements
Monitor contractor costs weekly & provide actionable insights
Support programme management & drive continuous commercial improvement
About You

Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS) or equivalent
Strong experience in Civil Engineering/Construction commercial roles
Expert knowledge of NEC & other standard contracts
Understanding of programming techniques & project controls
