If you’re a Senior Planner who thrives in a pre-construction environment and loves getting involved in the nitty-gritty of tenders, keep reading. A leading construction business is on the hunt for a Senior Planner in the Midlands to help drive project wins across industrial, data centres, retail, commercial and infrastructure schemes. With a secured pipeline and a turnover north of £500m, this is a stable, forward-thinking employer that’s not just growing, they’re building smarter.

This Senior Planner role sits within a tight-knit planning team, reporting into a Planning Lead with ex-site experience (so they get what it's like on the ground). Your time will be spent 90% in pre-construction, working closely with bid teams to win work across JCT and increasingly NEC projects, with around 10% site support once live. Industrial sector experience is ideal, and knowledge of NEC would be a bonus, but neither is a dealbreaker. Attitude, curiosity, and a collaborative mindset matter more.

Day-to-day, you’ll:

Lead the development of tender and pre-construction programmes

Liaise with bid and delivery teams to ensure realistic sequencing and methodology

Use your planning insight to influence project strategy

Occasionally support live projects across the Midlands region
