Role Overview

As a Drylining Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of multiple drylining and internal fit-out projects from tender to final account. You’ll ensure profitability, compliance, and client satisfaction while working closely with the project delivery teams to achieve high-quality results on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, submit, and manage tenders, valuations, and applications for payment.

*

Measure and value works accurately in accordance with project specifications and drawings.

*

Oversee cost control and commercial reporting throughout project lifecycles.

*

Liaise with clients, main contractors, and suppliers to maintain strong working relationships.

*

Identify and manage variations, change control, and potential risks.

*

Produce monthly CVRs (Cost Value Reconciliations) and cash flow forecasts.

*

Assist with procurement, subcontractor packages, and supply chain management.

*

Support project teams in ensuring compliance with contracts, quality, and health & safety standards.

*

Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and commercial practices.

Skills & Experience

*

Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role within the drylining, partitioning, or interior fit-out sector.

*

Strong understanding of SMM7/NRM measurement rules and JCT contracts.

*

Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

*

Excellent negotiation and communication skills with a proactive and organised approach.

*

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant QS software.

*

Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites.
