Randstad UK CPE Team is looking to onboard an experienced Site Manager to support a new build house project from foundation to handover in Newbury.

Job Title: Permanent Site Manager – New Homes
Location: Newbury, Berkshire
Salary: £55,000.00 – £65,000 per annum + Package
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Start Date: TBDAbout the Role
The Site Manager will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the site, ensuring that all works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to Client' high standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and coordinate all on-site construction activities and subcontractors
Manage site logistics, sequencing, and short-term programming
Enforce strict Health, Safety, and Environmental standards in line with company policy
Monitor quality of workmanship and materials across all stages of the build
Liaise with the Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor, and Design Team to resolve technical queries
Ensure works comply with drawings, specifications, and Building Regulations
Maintain accurate site records, daily reports, and progress updates
Lead site meetings and regular toolbox talks
Oversee snagging, commissioning, and final handover to client
Promote a positive site culture and good working relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and the local communityRequired Qualifications and experience

Experieced as a first lead Site Manager on a smaller or volume, high-quality development who can prove their capability.
Experienced in managing new-build housing schemes from groundworks through to handover.
Strong leadership and organisational skills
Excellent technical knowledge and attention to detail
Valid SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold), and First Aid certification.
