Project Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee the delivery of EV charging and renewable infrastructure projects across the North of England and Scotland, including the North East and Manchester regions.
This regional role involves managing multiple projects from early-stage design through to construction and client handover. You’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality, large-scale EV charging sites that are helping to shape the UK’s sustainable transport network.
The Role
*
Lead the end-to-end delivery of construction projects for EV charging infrastructure across the northern region.
*
Oversee all project stages — design coordination, procurement, mobilisation, build, commissioning, and handover.
*
Manage budgets, forecasts, and reporting, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope.
*
Coordinate with utility providers and electrical contractors to manage all connection works.
*
Ensure full compliance with CDM, H&S, and environmental regulations, maintaining site documentation and audits.
*
Develop and maintain project plans, risk registers, and construction schedules.
*
Manage and support subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring performance, quality, and safety standards are met.
*
Support testing, commissioning, and final handover documentation for client acceptance.
*
Produce regular progress reports for stakeholders and senior management.
About You
*
Minimum 5 years’ experience managing construction or infrastructure projects
*
Proven track record in projects involving EV charging installations or similar electrical and civils work — for example, retail parks, forecourts, logistics hubs, or service stations.
*
Strong understanding of construction management, health & safety compliance, and CDM regulations.
*
Skilled in managing project budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary delivery teams across multiple sites.
*
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
*
Comfortable travelling within the northern region (Manchester up to Scotland and across to the North East).
*
Proficient with MS Project or similar project management tools.
Qualifications
*
Degree or HND/HNC in Construction Management, Engineering, or Project Management (or equivalent experience).
*
SMSTS or equivalent health & safety certification preferred.
