I’m working with a well-established Bristol-based main contractor that delivers a wide range of commercial, education, healthcare, and mixed-use projects across the South West. With an impressive pipeline and a culture built on teamwork and professional growth, they’re now looking to strengthen their pre-construction team with a talented Assistant Estimator.

🔧 The Role

As Assistant Estimator, you’ll support the estimating team in preparing accurate and competitive tender submissions for projects typically ranging from £500k to £10m.
You’ll be involved in the full tender process — from initial enquiry through to submission — gaining hands-on experience across a variety of project types.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Assisting with take-offs, cost planning, and tender documentation

Supporting value engineering and commercial analysis

*

Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations

*

Working collaboratively with the wider pre-construction and delivery teams

✅ Ideal Candidate Profile

Some experience within an estimating or commercial team in construction

*

Strong numeracy, analytical, and organisational skills

*

Keen eye for detail and a willingness to learn from experienced colleagues

Confident using IT software and measurement tools

*

Based in or commutable to Bristol and the surrounding South West region
