The role & about the client:

ITS Building People are recruiting on behalf of a reputable main contractor for an experienced Site Manager to oversee a hotel and restaurant refurbishment project based in Chertsey.

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and detail-focused professional to lead a high-quality fit out from start to finish. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest standard of finish.

You will work closely with the project and design teams, managing subcontractors and trades to deliver a premium refurbishment within a live hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Manage and coordinate all on-site construction activities.

*

Lead subcontractors and site teams to ensure efficient delivery of works.

*

Oversee quality control, programme, and health & safety compliance.

*

Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and regular progress meetings.

*

Manage logistics, materials, and site documentation.

*

Liaise closely with the client, project managers, and consultants.

*

Drive progress to meet programme deadlines and maintain project quality.

The ideal candidate will have/be:

*

Proven experience as a Site Manager on fit out and refurbishment projects (hotel, restaurant, or commercial interiors).

*

Strong understanding of interior finishes, M&E coordination, and high-spec detail work.

*

Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.

*

SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications (essential).

*

Ability to manage multiple trades and deliver quality under pressure.

*

A proactive approach with strong attention to detail and safety.
