Quantity Surveyor (Junior to Intermediate Level)
Cambridge | Groundworks & Civil Engineering | Up to £55,000 + Car + Healthcare | Immediate Start
The Role:
We're seeking a motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Cambridge, supporting the commercial and financial management of groundworks and civil engineering projects. You'll be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on budget and to the highest standard, working closely with clients, subcontractors, and site teams.
Key Responsibilities:
·Manage all commercial and cost management aspects of projects from inception to final account
·Prepare and submit interim payment applications and manage valuations
·Assess, value, and agree variations and subcontractor accounts
·Monitor project budgets, costs, and forecasts to ensure financial targets are achieved
·Liaise with clients, site teams, and subcontractors to ensure smooth commercial delivery
·Assist in tendering and procurement when required
·Conduct site visits to support progress tracking and commercial reporting
About You:
·Proven experience in Quantity Surveying, ideally within groundworks or civil engineering
·Strong understanding of construction processes and commercial management
·Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
·Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal
·Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Package & Details:
·Salary: Up to £55,000, depending on experience
·Car allowance / company car, healthcare, and standard benefits
·Working hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm
·Based at the head office in Cambridge with site visits as required
·Immediate start available
