Site Engineer
Site Engineer
We’re working with a long-established main contractor that’s delivering a mix of exciting construction projects right across the North East. With a strong pipeline and a reputation for quality, this is a fantastic chance to join a business that’s growing steadily and values people who take pride in their work.
You’ll be involved in a variety of projects — from modern commercial and industrial developments to community spaces in education, healthcare, retail, and leisure. No two jobs are the same, and you’ll be supported by a collaborative team that genuinely wants you to succeed.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Setting out, surveying, and keeping things accurate and on track.
Taking ownership of quality checks, records, and testing — making sure the job’s done right first time.
Working closely with Site Management, subcontractors, and designers to keep everything moving smoothly.
Keeping an eye on materials, progress, and health & safety across site.
Recording key information and as-built data for handover and future use.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience as a Site Engineer, ideally on building projects (commercial, industrial, logistics, or residential).
A good understanding of setting out, QA, and construction methods.
Confident using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Fieldview/Viewpoint would be a bonus).
A practical problem-solver who’s organised, reliable, and easy to work with.
Degree or equivalent experience in Civil Engineering or Construction.
CSCS card essential. (Other tickets like Temporary Works or Confined Spaces are great to have but not dealbreakers.)
What’s On Offer:
Competitive salary (based on your experience).
Company car or car allowance.
Pension and benefits package.
Genuine career development with ongoing support and training.
A friendly, down-to-earth team where your input really counts.
If you’re looking for a role where you can take ownership, work on diverse projects, and grow with a respected contractor that values its people — we’d love to hear from you
