About the Role
My client are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a contract basis to support ongoing civil engineering and utilities projects in the Erith area. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a proven track record of managing the commercial and contractual aspects of complex infrastructure works.
Key Responsibilities

Manage all commercial activities across multiple civil and utilities projects.
*
Prepare, submit, and negotiate valuations, variations, and final accounts.
*
Ensure compliance with contractual terms and manage risk effectively.
*
Provide cost control, forecasting, and reporting to senior management.
*
Liaise closely with clients, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure financial efficiency.
*
Support procurement and tendering processes as required.
Requirements
*
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering and/or utilities sectors (water, power, highways, drainage, or similar).
*
Strong understanding of NEC contracts (and/or other relevant forms).
*
Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
*
Ability to work independently under a Ltd company or CIS arrangement.
*
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (preferred).
*
Good IT skills and experience using standard QS software and MS Office.
