Skilled Shop Fitter with SMSTS

We are seeking a Skilled Shop Fitter with SMSTS certification to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a project is completed safely and efficiently. You will essentially be the onsite project lead. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency in the workplace as well as great communication.

Duties

* Interpret technical drawings and specifications to assemble components accurately.

* Use hand tools, power tools, and machinery to fit parts together securely.

* Conduct quality checks on assembled products to ensure they meet required standards.

* Troubleshoot and resolve any fitting issues that may arise during the assembly process.

* Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.

* Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance productivity.

Experience

* Previous experience as a Skilled Shop Fitter holding SMSTS is essential.

* Proficiency in reading technical drawings and schematics is essential.

* Familiarity with various hand tools and power tools used in fitting processes.

* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are crucial for success in this position.
