Electrical Design Engineer

A leading main contractor areseeking a talented Electrical Design Engineer to join their head office design team in Dublin, supporting the delivery of major data centre projects across Europe. Key Responsibilities:

Develop and review detailed electrical designs for data centre projects (LV, MV, and HV systems).
*
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, civil, and project delivery teams.
*
Prepare design documentation, specifications, and drawings in accordance with project and client requirements.
*
Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure design intent and project objectives are met.
*
Support commissioning and handover phases with technical input and design validation.
*
Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and health & safety requirements.
Skills & Experience:
*
Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
*
3–8 years’ experience in electrical design, ideally within data centre or large industrial/commercial projects.
*
Strong knowledge of power distribution, standby generation, UPS systems, lighting, and earthing.
*
Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar BIM tools.
*
Excellent communication and teamwork skills with strong attention to detail.
