We’re seeking a Construction Project Manager to join a global leader in ground engineering. With operations in over 25 locations worldwide, this company is a recognised market leader and part of a major international construction group, offering both financial stability and a strong pipeline of future project work.
Initially, you’ll be assigned to one of the UK’s largest standalone infrastructure projects, where you’ll play a pivotal role in the delivery and leadership of a significant diaphragm wall package within this landmark ground engineering scheme. You’ll be instrumental in providing proactive and strong leadership across this technically challenging package, which involves complex interfaces with other scopes and works.
What will you be doing?
Oversee and coordinate all construction activities, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards
Develop detailed execution schedules, plan site logistics, and allocate resources to meet project milestones
Supervise site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring compliance with contractual, architectural, and technical specifications
Monitor progress, quality, and cost, reporting variances and implementing corrective actions as needed
Ensure effective communication between site teams, client representatives, consultants, and other stakeholders
Maintain accurate site records, including daily logs, progress reports, and safety documentation
Manage procurement, budget monitoring, and expenditure forecasting for site operations
Identify and manage risks and opportunities, responding proactively to unexpected situations (e.g., strikes, supply chain issues)
Uphold health, safety, and environmental standards, ensuring all personnel are trained and compliant
Coordinate the handover process, compiling technical documentation required for project completion and client acceptance
Act as the company’s ambassador on site, promoting ethical conduct and representing the company’s interests
What do you need?
A degree or masters in Geotechnical, Civil, or Structural Engineering
Around 10 years of post-graduate experience gained working for a contractor
Have demonstrable experience of constructing diaphragm walls
