HSQE Advisor – South (Home Counties based)

Our client is recruiting a proactive and committed HSQE Advisor to join the team on a full time, permanent basis.

This role plays a key part in leading a positive safety culture across their business, and in particular for operational delivery.

A strong team player, you will engage, encourage and collaborate with our workforce, clients and stakeholders to align our combined focus and our approach on all HSQE matters.

You will support the implementation of our Occupational Health, wellbeing and Safety policies, driving continuous improvement, best practice and innovative thinking.

Duties

Work proactively with the business to promote a positive safety culture and engagement across all areas of the business, at all levels

*

Carry out site audits to evaluate the effectiveness of Health and Safety systems, procedures and identify and implement improvements

*

Supporting the management team in investigating accidents and incidents and take necessary steps to prevent a recurrence.

*

Provide support to the business in standard operations as well as policy and procedural review and improvement

*

Supporting the internal audit and review process

*

Review of risk and COSHH assessments and other key documentation.

*

Supporting the development of the internal management systems

*

Monitoring and tracking of actions from site inspection, audits, Non-conformances to close out stage.

Provide information, support and guidance to all levels

*

Identification of key information and best practice, and associated sharing with the Company

*

Implement health and safety systems and procedures to meet specific requirements

*

Undertake Health, safety and environmental audits as required

*

Attend safety briefings and client meetings

Requirements

*

Full, UK driving license / flexibility to travel

*

NEBOSH cert or equivalent with Knowledge and understanding of safety, health and environmental legislation, best practice

*

An understanding of ISO standards (45001, 9001, 14001)

*

Relevant industry experiences preferable including Vegetation management, planting, forestry and highway working are an advantage

*

ISO auditor preferable but not essential.
