Quantity Surveyor- Joinery

Our client is a well-established construction company offering bespoke joinery solutions for commercial and residential projects across the UK. They are currently seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team based in Bildeston.

The role will be to manage day-to-day commercial control, including provision of timely and accurate documentation, including CVR’s. cash flow forecasts, valuations and subcontractor assessments. It is the ideal role for someone who is highly motivated, a great communicator, able to demonstrate an astute attention to detail, along with having a logical approach to work and excellent time management skills.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Develop and maintain strong business relationships with Clients, inhouse teams and Subcontractors.

* Providing accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting to completion in line with the project cost plan.

* Pro-actively monitoring and managing cost variance and contract cash flow, and ensuring that applications are made correctly and on time

* Submission of monthly valuations and produce cashflow forecasts.

* Ensure that procurement of Subcontractor and Supplier accounts is undertaken in a timely and cost-effective manner and managed through to project completion.

Position Requirements:

* Excellent IT, analytical and communication skills

* Strong mathematical ability

* Practical knowledge of quantity surveying procedures and commercial awareness

* Willing to undertake additional training as and where required.

* Understand the implications of decisions on the financial objectives and value of the company.

* The ability to work to within a busy team and under pressure.
