Salary: £30,000 – £55,000 (DOE)

Are you an experienced Planner looking for your next challenge in civil engineering? This is an exciting opportunity for a Planner to join a well-established contractor delivering major infrastructure and renewable energy projects across Scotland. As a Planner, you’ll be developing, monitoring, and maintaining programmes across a wide range of civil engineering works, from highways and bridges to renewable energy and marine infrastructure.
Responsibilities
*
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules from early stages through to completion
*
Work closely with engineers, project managers, and site teams to plan activities and milestones
*
Carry out critical path analysis to identify potential delays and bottlenecks
*
Use project planning software such as Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject, or MS Project
*
Produce regular progress reports and updates for key stakeholders
*
Monitor project performance and highlight areas requiring corrective action
*
Support coordination with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure smooth delivery
*
Analyse resources and ensure optimal utilisation across multiple projects
Skills & Experience
*
Proven background working as a Planner on civil engineering or infrastructure projects
*
Strong understanding of project controls, critical path management, and scheduling software
*
Excellent communication and analytical skills
*
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
