Our client, a RIBA Chartered Architectural Practice, is seeking a talented Architect with 3 – 5 years post-Part III experience to join their expanding team in Berkshire. Specialising in high-end residential projects, the practice delivers bespoke designs ranging from contemporary new builds to traditional homes tailored for modern living.
The ideal Architect will have strong design flair, experience across all RIBA stages, and a keen eye for detail. You will work closely with clients, consultants, and colleagues to deliver beautifully crafted residential projects from concept through to completion. A passion for high-end residential architecture is essential, along with excellent communication and organisational skills. Experience in leading and managing projects is highly advantageous. Vectorworks experience is preferred, though training can be provided.
Architect Job Overview
Collaborate with clients, consultants, and contractors to develop project briefs and maintain design integrity across all stages.
Support and, where appropriate, take ownership of projects from concept design through to completion, with guidance from senior colleagues.
Produce high-quality design and technical drawings for planning submissions, tender packages, and construction documentation.
Carry out site inspections, attend meetings, and respond to technical and design queries during the construction phase.
Assist with project coordination, programming, budgets, and contract administration to ensure efficient delivery.
Contribute to design reviews and share knowledge with junior team members, supporting their growth and development.
Maintain a thorough understanding of UK Building Regulations, planning policy, and sustainable design principles.
Architect Job Requirements
Degree-qualified in Architecture with RIBA Part III qualification.
Proven experience working on high-end residential projects
Experience across all RIBA Stages, highly advantageous
Passivhaus experience; highly advantageous
Proficiency in Vectorworks (preferred but training available).
Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and technical detailing.
Excellent communication and client management skills.
Highly organised, proactive, and able to work independently.
Full UK driving licence and access to a car.Architect Salary & Benefits
Salary; £40,000 – £45,000 (DOE)
