Architectural Technician
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Architectural Technician with strong proficiency in Revit to join our dynamic design team. You will play a key role in developing accurate technical drawings, 3D models, and construction documentation across a range of residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects.
Working closely with architects, engineers, and project managers, you'll ensure that all design and technical information is delivered to the highest standard and complies with current UK Building Regulations and industry best practice.
Key Responsibilities
Produce accurate technical drawings, Revit models, and construction details for all project stages (concept to completion).
Collaborate with architects and design teams to develop coordinated BIM models.
Prepare and issue planning, tender, and construction drawings.
Maintain project models and ensure compliance with BIM Level 2 standards and company protocols.
Conduct site surveys and prepare existing building drawings where required.
Liaise with consultants, contractors, and local authorities to support approvals and coordination.
Assist in the preparation of specifications, schedules, and detailed design packages.
Ensure all technical information aligns with UK Building Regulations and NHBC/Local Authority requirements.
Manage drawing revisions, issue sheets, and documentation control.
Key Skills & Experience
Proficient in Revit (essential) and AutoCAD (advantageous).
HNC/HND or degree in Architectural Technology or related field.
Minimum 2-4 years' experience in an architectural or construction environment.
Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations, construction methods, and detailing.
Experience working within a BIM environment and familiarity with Revit collaboration workflows.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of Enscape, Navisworks, or other visualization tools (beneficial).
