Venatu are proud to annouce that a new client of ours with the Fire Safety indsutry are now looking for a a new Fire Extinguisher Technician to join them as soon as possible! The company specializes in the design, supply, installation, and maintenance of fire detection, alarm, and suppression systems for commercial, industrial, and residential environments. Due to the growth and expansion they're seeing, they're looking for a Fire Extinguisher Technician to join them ASAP! 

This is a fulltime position paying circa £30k + BRAND NEW COMPANY VAN + BONUS!

This is a strictly days role withworking hours of 8:30AM – 4:30PM as all works is based in Edinburgh so no weekend work or overnight stays are ever required! This role would suit an hungry and ambitious individual as theres plenty management, senior management and director prospect!

Job duties inlcude:

Inspect, test, and maintain portable fire extinguishers in accordance with NFPA standards and local regulations.

Perform recharging, hydrostatic testing, and repairs on various types of fire extinguishers.

Accurately document all inspections, maintenance activities, and service reports.

Identify and replace damaged, expired, or non-compliant fire safety equipment.

Install new extinguishers and ensure proper placement and labeling for maximum safety and compliance.

Provide on-site customer support and educate clients on proper fire extinguisher usage and maintenance.

Maintain an organized inventory of parts, tools, and service equipment.

Adhere to company safety procedures and promote a safe work environment at all times.
The type of the candiate they're looking for:

Experience in fire extinguisher servicing, hold a qualification to prove competence and have good knowledge.
Qualified to BAFE / FETA or equivalent.
Experience of front-line customer service.
Previous experience of maintaining fire extinguishers is essential.
Ability to work unsupervised with the capability to problem solve.
Experience in other Fire Systems would be advantageous.
Must be computer literate and be conversant with email, Word, Excel and be able to work with a PDA/iPad/smartphone.
Full driving licence.
