Your new role
They are seeking an experienced Groundworks Contracts Manager to oversee projects in the North West region. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of groundworks contracts, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Manage and oversee multiple groundworks projects from inception to completion.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address any issues or delays.
- Prepare and review contract documents, technical specifications, and project reports.
- Lead and motivate project teams, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks to project success.
- Ensure all work is carried out to the highest standards of quality and workmanship.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Maintain accurate records of project activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and financial documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or similar role in the construction industry, with a focus on groundworks.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in using project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to various project sites.
