Hourly Rate: £14.34 PAYE per hour

Job Type: Full-time temp till end of January 2026We are seeking a dedicated Business Support Officer to join a housing association. This role is crucial in providing first-time resolutions to customer enquiries and supporting our housing teams with essential administrative tasks. The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering an excellent service experience to both internal and external customers, ensuring our commitments are met efficiently.

Day-to-day of the role:

Provide responsive customer service via telephone, face-to-face, and written communication, supporting various aspects of estate services, tenancy, and leasehold management.
Accompany colleagues on visits to residents' homes as needed, addressing communal pest control, tree maintenance, and parking enquiries, and maintaining accurate records.
Collaborate with housing teams, Front of House, Health and Safety, and Asset Management to manage local offices effectively.
Serve as the first point of contact for customers, handling inquiries and ensuring all safeguarding concerns are appropriately referred.
Offer general housing advice, process mutual exchange applications, and assist with court applications for injunctions and warrants.
Support the Business Support Manager and other teams with office administration, including budget management, communications, electronic filing, and procurement of services.
Process invoices and raise purchase orders, ensuring budget delivery and accuracy.
Assist in organizing community events and initiatives, maintaining up-to-date and accurate information across various administrative areas.
Organize meetings and customer interviews, take minutes, and track case review progress, ensuring documentation is centrally stored in SharePoint.
Provide comprehensive administrative support across the region as needed.Required Skills & Qualifications:

Strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service, embodying core values and service promises daily.
Knowledge of housing policy and procedures; experience working with vulnerable residents is desirable.
Ability to work independently on standard processes and collaboratively within a team across different service areas.
Experience in a customer-facing role and external liaison, maintaining the organisation's reputation.
Flexible approach to work, able to attend occasional evening or weekend meetings.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, proficient in using computer systems and maintaining records.
