Location: Portsmouth, Hampshire Salary: Up to £65,000 DOE Project Value: £30m residential development (conversion + new build, 180+ units)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager (Externals) to join our team on a flagship £30m residential project in Portsmouth. The scheme includes both conversion and new build elements, delivering over 180 high-quality units. You’ll play a pivotal role in managing all external works, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee external worksincluding groundworks, landscaping, facades, and public realm.

*

Manage subcontractorsand site teams to ensure productivity and quality.

*

Ensure compliancewith health & safety regulations and company standards.

*

Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.

*

Monitor progressagainst programme and budget, reporting regularly.

Requirements

*

Proven experienceas a Site Manager on large-scale residential projects.

*

Strong knowledgeof externals, groundworks, and finishing trades.

*

Excellent leadershipand communication skills.

*

Ability to managemultiple subcontractors and deliver to tight deadlines.

*

Relevant qualifications(SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid).
