Contracts Manager – Fire Doors
We are looking for a trusted specialist in fire door installation, inspection, and maintenance, serving clients across Dorset, Hampshire, and Wiltshire.
As our client continues to grow, they are now seeking an experienced and motivated Fire Door Contracts Manager to lead our projects from planning through to completion, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and client satisfaction.
The suitable candidate will be an experienced Contracts or Project Manager with a solid background in fire door systems or passive fire protection.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and deliver multiple fire door installation and maintenance projects from start to finish.
* Work closely with the directors & office team to ensure smooth project delivery.
* Oversee site teams and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with BS 8214 and BM Trada standards.
* Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, promoting transparency and trust.
* Produce regular project reports, progress updates, and documentation.
* Lead, develop, and support installation teams to achieve exceptional quality and efficiency.
* Drive a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement across all fire door operations.
* Survey fire door’s using a software driven system
* Install & carry out maintenance to fire doors when required (not often)
* Measure up and order materials prior to projects starting
* Organise RAMS & short form CPP’s as required for projects
Essential:
* Proven experience in fire door installation, inspection, or maintenance management.
* Strong understanding of fire door regulations, certification, and compliance standards.
* Excellent organisational and leadership skills, able to manage multiple sites simultaneously.
* Clear and confident communicator with a professional client-facing manner.
* Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation standards.
* Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
* Qualifications or certifications in fire doors (e.g. BM Trada, FIRAS, FDIS, ASFP, or IFC).
* Experience managing projects in occupied or sensitive buildings.
* Previous experience using one trace software
