A growing developer based in Southwark is looking for a capable and commercially minded Senior Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their delivery team. With a healthy pipeline of residential and mixed-use schemes across London, this position offers the chance to take ownership of key projects from early concept stages through handover.

The Opportunity

You’ll act as a central figure within the commercial function, partnering closely with design, technical, and construction teams to drive best value across several live projects. The role will see you managing everything from early cost planning and procurement through to contract administration and final accounts.

Responsibilities

Manage all commercial activity across multiple residential and mixed-use projects.

Prepare cost plans, budgets, and financial forecasts at each design stage.

*

Lead procurement, tendering, and contract negotiations.

*

Oversee valuations, variations, payments, and final account agreements.

*

Provide clear commercial reporting and advice to senior management.

*

Support value engineering workshops and risk reviews.

*

Assist in guiding and developing junior staff when required.

About You

*

5+ years’ experience in Quantity Surveying with a developer, contractor, or consultancy.

*

Strong background in residential or mixed-use development.

*

Confident managing budgets, procurement, and project delivery.

*

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a similar discipline (RICS beneficial).

*

Excellent commercial awareness, communication skills, and attention to detail.

*

Ability to manage several projects simultaneously within a fast-paced environment.
