Estimator – Main Contractor
Location: Oxford & Surrounding Area
Salary: £70,000 – £85,000 + Package

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join a reputable main contractor operating across Oxford and the Thames Valley region. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-driven professional to play a key role in pricing and securing a diverse range of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate cost estimates for new-build, refurbishment, and fit-out schemes.

Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.

*

Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations.

*

Develop and maintain cost databases and pricing models.

*

Work closely with the pre-construction and delivery teams to support bid submissions.

*

Provide value engineering options and contribute to winning strategies.

Requirements:

*

Proven experience as an Estimator within a main contracting environment.

*

Strong knowledge of construction processes and current market rates.

*

Ability to review technical drawings and specifications with confidence.

*

Strong numerical, analytical, and communication skills.

*

Proficiency with estimating software and standard MS Office tools.
