We’re supporting a respected contractor delivering refurbishment, design & build and framework-led projects across public sector, leisure, education and community facilities. With a strong pipeline and increasing tender activity, they’re looking to appoint an Estimating Manager to lead their pre-construction function.

This role will suit someone who enjoys taking ownership of the full tender process, shaping pricing strategy, and working closely with senior leadership on bid positioning and project selection.

The Role Includes:
• Managing all tendering activity from initial enquiry through to submission
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and contract terms to assess risk and scope
• Producing detailed take-offs, BOQs and cost plans across refurbishment and D&B projects
• Coordinating supplier and subcontract enquiries and analysing returned quotes
• Leading tender adjudication meetings and advising senior management on bid strategy
• Supporting post-tender negotiations, value engineering and cost-option reviews
• Overseeing handovers to delivery teams, ensuring financials and assumptions are clear
• Mentoring junior estimators and embedding best practice across the department

What They’re Looking For:
• Background as an Estimating Manager or strong Senior Estimator ready to step up
• Experience pricing refurbishment, public sector or D&B projects
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to review contract conditions
• Confident communicator able to work closely with clients, consultants and the SLT
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and work to fixed deadlines
