Role Overview

As a Bid Writer, you will play a vital role in securing new work by crafting compelling, high-quality tender submissions. You will work closely with the Pre-Construction, Estimating, and Project Delivery teams to prepare bid responses that effectively communicate our capabilities, experience, and value proposition in a competitive marketplace.

Key Responsibilities

Research, write, and coordinate tender submissions, PQQs, RFPs, and frameworks.

Develop compelling content and narratives which clearly articulate the company’s USP and client-focused solutions.

*

Liaise with internal teams to gather information and ensure accuracy of submissions.

*

Manage and maintain bid documentation, templates, and libraries.

*

Ensure all submissions are compliant with client requirements, deadlines, and quality standards.

*

Assist in bid strategy development and identify key differentiators and win themes.

*

Track and analyse bid outcomes to support continuous improvement.

Skills & Experience

*

Previous experience in a Bid Writer or similar role within the construction industry is essential.

*

Strong understanding of construction processes, terminology, and procurement routes.

*

Excellent written communication skills with the ability to write clearly, persuasively, and creatively.

*

Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

*

Strong attention to detail and experience in formatting professional documents.

*

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

*

Familiarity with procurement portals and bid management systems.
