Project Manager – Construction (Steel Frame Industrial Buildings)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of steel frame industrial shed projects from inception to completion. You will oversee all aspects of planning, coordination, and execution, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the planning, scheduling, and day-to-day management of construction projects.

Coordinate site activities, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.

Manage project budgets, track costs, and report on financial performance.

Drive health & safety compliance and ensure all site activities meet regulatory standards.

Conduct progress meetings, prepare reports, and maintain clear communication with clients and stakeholders.

Oversee quality control, ensuring all works meet required specifications and industry standards.

Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving issues promptly.

Manage documentation, contracts, variations, and procurement activities.

Ensure successful handover, commissioning, and project close-out.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Project Manager within construction—preferably steel frame or industrial building sectors.

Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and project life-cycle.

Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and drive performance on site.

Proficiency with project management software and standard construction documentation.

Strong knowledge of CDM regulations and site safety practices.

Full UK driving licence (or local equivalent).
