About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Banksman to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the safe movement of vehicles and machinery on-site, maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.

Key Responsibilities

Direct and guide the movement of vehicles, plant, and machinery within the site to ensure safe operations.
Communicate clearly with drivers and operators using standard hand signals and/or radio communication.
Monitor and maintain safe distances between moving vehicles, equipment, and personnel.
Ensure that loading and unloading activities are carried out safely and efficiently.
Conduct visual checks of the work area to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
Assist in implementing site traffic management plans and adhere to all safety protocols.
Report any incidents, near misses, or unsafe practices promptly to the site supervisor.
Maintain vigilance to prevent unauthorized access to restricted areas.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Banksman or in a similar role within construction, logistics, or industrial environments.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and traffic management procedures.
Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
Certification in Banksman duties (or willingness to obtain).
High level of attention to detail and situational awareness
