Salary: £65,000–£80,000 + £5,775 car/London allowance

About the Role

TXM rcecruit are working with a Leading buillding services specialists. My client is seeking an experienced and driven Quantity Surveyor to join our expanding commercial team in London. With a strong pipeline of upcoming projects across the commercial, residential, and public sectors, this is an excellent opportunity for a QS looking to contribute to high-profile MEP projects and develop their career with one of the UK’s leading building services specialists.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the commercial and financial aspects of allocated projects from pre-construction through to final account.

*

Prepare, submit, and negotiate valuations, variations, and progress claims.

*

Conduct cost planning, forecasting, and budget control throughout the project lifecycle.

*

Review contract terms, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.

*

Procure subcontractors and manage subcontract packages, including payments and performance reviews.

*

Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to support efficient project delivery.

*

Produce accurate monthly reports, cost/value reconciliations, and cash flow projections.

*

Ensure compliance with company procedures, contractual requirements, and industry standards.

Requirements

*

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction or MEP building services sector.

*

Strong knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contracts.

*

Excellent commercial acumen with strong cost management and negotiation skills.

*

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

*

Strong communication, reporting, and stakeholder management abilities.

*

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (or equivalent experience).

*

MRICS or working towards chartership advantageous but not essential.
