A client within the Public Sector based in Kent is currently recruiting for an Energy Efficiency Contract Manager to join their Strategic Asset Management team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, temporary position on an ongoing basis, with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority or social housing environment.

The Role
The key purpose of the role is to lead on the design, procurement, delivery, and contract management of domestic energy efficiency projects to support the organisation’s targets of achieving EPC C by 2030 and Net Zero Carbon by 2050. The role will also involve energy data analysis, resident engagement, and securing government funding.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to: 

Managing all energy efficiency projects from planning to completion, ensuring quality, compliance, and strong resident communication.
Analysing and monitoring energy performance data, ensuring properties meet regulatory requirements and carbon reduction targets.
Contributing to Asset Management and Sustainability strategies, including EPC improvement planning.
Procuring and managing contractors and consultants throughout the project lifecycle.
Securing and coordinating funding opportunities such as SHDF, ECO, Warm Homes Fund, and other grant programmes.
Ensuring no works carried out increase fuel poverty or negatively impact residents or their homes.
Reporting progress to senior management and internal stakeholders.
Researching new technology and best practice in domestic energy efficiency.
Representing the organisation externally at industry events and partnership meetings.The Candidate
To be considered for this role, you will require:

A degree or equivalent qualification in a Building, Construction, or related discipline, or relevant Project Management credentials.
Strong experience in contract management within domestic energy efficiency or social housing.
In-depth knowledge of EPC data, energy efficiency measures, and carbon reduction practices.The below skills would be beneficial for the role:

Experience working on Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund projects.
Qualifications such as Domestic Energy Assessor or Retrofit Coordinator.
Strong ICT skills including Excel and mobile working tools.The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £56,610 per annum Umbrella LTD Inside IR35.
