About the Project

The Shore Group are working with a Leading Tier 1 Main Contractor, seeking a Quantity Surveyor in the Hertforshire area.
Joining the business to support a major £70m Sports & Leisure development at a School in the Hertfordshire area. This impressive 3-year scheme includes mixed concrete and steel frame structures, Corium cladding, and high-quality swimming pools and sports halls.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial function of this project. You will be office-based until April 2026 and will report directly to the Project Commercial Lead.

Key Responsibilities

Support all commercial and cost-management aspects of the project

*

Assist with procurement, subcontract management, valuations, and reporting

*

Ensure effective cost control and contract administration in line with JCT requirements

*

Work collaboratively with project and site teams to maintain programme and budget targets

Ideal Candidate

*

Minimum 5 years’ experience working for a Tier 1 contractor at QS level

*

Background in sports, leisure, or similar complex builds is desirable

*

Strong knowledge of JCT contracts

*

Excellent commercial awareness, communication, and reporting skills
