Role Overview
We’re seeking a motivated Graduate BREEAM Assessor who is passionate about sustainable design and ready to build a career in building performance and certification. You will support senior sustainability consultants in delivering BREEAM assessments and advising design teams on best-practice environmental strategies.
This role offers structured development, paid training, and long-term progression towards becoming a fully qualified BREEAM Assessor with the opportunity to broaden into WELL, LEED, LCA, energy modelling, and net-zero consultancy.
Key Responsibilities
*
Assist with the delivery of BREEAM assessments (New Construction, Refurbishment & Fit-Out, or In-Use).
*
Support evidence gathering, credit tracking, and coordination with design teams and contractors.
*
Prepare and organise technical documentation for certification submissions.
*
Contribute to sustainability reports, strategy documents, and feasibility studies.
*
Attend design and client meetings with senior team members.
*
Liaise with project managers, architects, M&E consultants, and contractors to ensure sustainability requirements are met.
*
Stay up-to-date with BREEAM standards, building regulations, net-zero frameworks, and best-practice guidance.

Support internal sustainability initiatives and knowledge sharing.
About You

Essential Skills & Qualities
*
Degree in a sustainability-related discipline (e.g., Environmental Science, Building Services Engineering, Architecture, Building Physics, Energy & Sustainability).
*
Strong interest in the built environment and environmental performance.
*
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
*
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
*
Confident using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
*
Analytical mindset with problem-solving ability.
Desirable Skills (Not Essential)
*
Awareness of BREEAM principles or credit categories.
*
Understanding of building services, construction processes, or building physics.
*
Experience with sustainability tools (OneClick LCA, IES, PHPP, etc.).
*
Previous internship or placement within a related field.
