Quantity Surveyor
My client, a market leading restoration contractor is seeking an ambitious, commercially minded and technically proficient intermediate Quantity Surveyor who is looking for a long-term opportunity to progress within their business, with a clear pathway toward a Commercial Manager position.
The ideal Quantity Surveyor will be confident, motivated and capable of meeting challenges with a positive, solutions-focused mindset. While the role offers a high degree of autonomy, you will work closely with their Commercial Manager, Contracts Managers and Estimating team.
Primary Quantity Surveying Responsibilities
Organise pre-start meetings, prepare financial budgets, place sub-contract orders and liaise with the logistics and contracts teams to ensure a smooth project start
Attend site meetings, prepare variation schedules, manage valuations and monitor budget progression through to final account
Place timely orders with subcontractors and specialist suppliers
Coordinate with project and site teams to ensure labour levels are aligned with agreed financial budgets
Oversee all QS elements of the project
Manage project costs, budgets and variations to ensure strong financial performance
Attend meetings with clients, occupants and representatives to support effective financial management of the works
Prepare and manage valuations, variations, certifications and final accounts in a structured and timely manner
Maintain orderly office and site QS records and support research into best materials, systems and practices to enhance project value
