Estimator

A leading civil engineering contractor – well-established, privately owned, and highly respected within the industry – is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their growing pre-construction team. As Senior Estimator, you will take ownership of tendering processes across a diverse range of civil engineering projects. Typical works include:

* Groundworks
* Infrastructure
* Highways
* Drainage
* External works
* Small to medium civil packages

You'll work closely with pre-construction and operational leads to develop competitive, accurate, and timely tenders, playing a key part in the company's continued growth and success.

Within this role, your duties will typically be:

* Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions
* Analyse drawings, specifications, and project documentation
* Liaise with supply chain partners to obtain competitive quotations
* Identify risks, opportunities, and value-engineering options
* Lead tender reviews and present findings to senior management
* Support junior estimating staff when required

To be considered for this role, applicants must be able to demonstrate:

* Proven experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator within civil engineering or groundworks
* Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills
* Excellent knowledge of civil engineering construction methods
* Confident communicator with the ability to lead tenders effectively
* Able to work autonomously as well as within a team environment
