Development Director – Regeneration & Mixed-Use

A leading design-led developer is recruiting a Development Director to take ownership of several exciting regeneration and mixed-use projects – North and Midlands. This is a key delivery role, guiding schemes from planning through construction and into completion.

Key Responsibilities

Lead multiple projects from RIBA Stage 3 onwards through to handover

Manage design coordination with architects, engineers and consultants

Develop procurement strategies and oversee contract negotiation

Monitor budgets, appraisals, cashflow and risk management

Ensure quality, programme and commercial outcomes are met

Work closely with funders, JV partners and internal leadership

Experience Required

5+ years' experience in development, pre-construction, project management or consultancy

Strong understanding of procurement, risk transfer and contract routes

Experience delivering residential or mixed-use developments

Working knowledge of BSR and The Gateway
Ability to drive design, challenge consultants and maintain project vision

Confident with numbers: forecasting, value engineering and commercial oversight

Strong communication, planning and stakeholder management skills
